Booking & Contact FAQ

What to expect when you get in touch. Call us if yours isn't here, or see our full FAQ.

It comes straight to us, not to a call centre. We read it, and you will hear back from one of us to confirm what is going on and agree a time. If the form says the door is stuck or a spring has gone, treat the phone as the faster route and call instead. Written requests are ideal for quotes and scheduling, less so for something you need sorted today.

Either works. The Book Online button opens our booking system, where you can request a visit in your own time without waiting for someone to pick up. That is often easier in the evening. If you would rather talk it through, or you are not sure what is wrong, phoning gets you an answer faster because we can ask the right questions as you describe it.

Nothing formal, but a few things speed it up: roughly how wide the door is and whether it is a single or a double, what the door is doing or refusing to do, and whether you can hear the opener running. If you know the brand from a sticker on the door or the motor, mention it. None of it is essential. Describing the symptom in plain words is genuinely enough.

Yes, and it often helps. A photo of the broken part, the motor unit, or the door in the position it is stuck in can tell us what to load on the van before we set off, which makes a one-visit fix more likely. Pictures of the spring above the door and the label on the opener are the two most useful.

Our posted hours are the times we are out doing scheduled work, and the emergency line runs outside them. If your door has failed in a way that leaves the house open or a vehicle trapped, call and we will deal with it. For anything that can safely wait until morning, leaving a message and getting a proper slot usually works out better for you.

Almost always, yes. The springs, opener, tracks and rollers are all on the inside, so we need access to the space rather than just the driveway. If the door is stuck shut and that is the only way in, say so when you book. It is a normal situation and there are ways in, but we would rather know before we arrive than work it out on your doorstep.
